* Four individuals/teams competed and all four made the stage at awards day by placing in the top eight.

* Partnering with a Business – Kai Kataoka and Dylan Williams – 1st place
* Community Service – Avery Pike, Caydence Tidwell, and Bryana Burks – 8th place
* Web Design – Cylvia Baskin – 7th place

We’re excited to announce that Cooper Magan will be attending Freed Hardiman University next fall to continue his soccer career! WAY TO GO Cooper… we’ll be cheering you on!

Dyersburg State Community College will be at Brighton High School at 6:30p.m. on March 14th. They will be discussing their Middle College program. A student can earn an associate degree from DSCC BEFORE they graduate from MHS!! You must have a GPA of 3.0 and have met the ACT Benchmark. See Mrs. Jackson in room 132 for details.

And it’s on to the next round in the Region for Cougar Basketball! SHOUTING OUT to these fellas, our beautiful cheerleaders, and all our Cougar families who made the trip to Crockett County to watch one exciting game! Whether our families are connected by blood or by the Cougar connection, we celebrate together for sure! Next up, Cougar Basketball travels to Obion County to play Ripley Tuesday night at 7:30! Let’s GO COUGARS!

We are beyond proud of seniors Owen Geiger and Noah Lambert who have been accepted to the United States Naval Academy. Representative David Kustoff recognized these young men earlier this week as the nominees from the 8th District of Tennessee. They have made the choice to serve our county after graduation and they are most deserving of the honor that comes along with their acceptance to such a prestigious institution. Congratulations, Owen and Noah!
