About Me:
Hi everyone, my name is Karagan Nelms Smith. I am from Tipton County myself, and I graduated from Covington High School. I attended the University of Memphis, where I obtained my degree in Biochemistry. I graduated with my Master’s degree in Education from UT Martin. This is my second year at Munford High School and my fourth year teaching high school science. I have taught Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry, and Physics. I love teaching, and have truly found my calling in education.
I am a very proud wife and mother to my three year old daughter, Amelia. Family is very important to me, and always has been. Having a toddler is definitely a challenge at times, but it is truly so much fun!
Outside of work I enjoy cooking, baking desserts, working out, running, and anything I can find outdoors. I love fishing, hiking, and all involving the water! I have three dogs that love to explore, and my daughter is already proving to be outdoorsy as well! I’m a huge traveler, and hope to get to take more trips in the near future.
